I know. It’s been almost a decade. But I couldn’t let this show die. I found our old subs, a friend found some 1080p raws, and now, we finally bring you an updated release for Last Friends! We’re seeding it from a server this time, so the torrent won’t die anytime soon.
Even though I quit fansubbing back in 2018, I came out of retirement for a few weeks to make this happen. Since our original release, I got married, had a wonderful and energetic son, and now work full-time at a university while being a mother. Life is chaotic, but fun.
Maki’s life is mostly the same. He’s got a few more degrees as he’s explored what he wants to do with his life. Like me, he’s eternally drawn to academia, so he’s looking to find a job in the higher education field.
Special thanks to dbx10, a friend I met when I worked in EveTaku, for helping me find the raws, mux the subs, and seed this final release. I’m so grateful to still have such great friends and resources even though I left the fansubbing scene.
