I was this close of picking a picture of Takeru, but decided that I wanted to keep up with pictures of just the girls.
We’re heading towards the end now. Two more episodes, and then we’ll be done. However, we do have scripts for the special episode, just not a raw. We’ll do more searching when it’s time to work on it, but the reason why we decided to do this show in the first place is because 720p sources aren’t very common. In fact, it’s so rare, I haven’t even seen the special episode!

Will we ever find out in no uncertain terms what happened between Takeru and his sister?
I don’t know what’s in the special episode, but they tend to gloss over it in the series itself. Maki and I were discussing it a few episodes ago, and we agreed that it was most likely sexual abuse, and they didn’t want to open that can of worms when there’s already so many issues swirling in the show.
I’m watching these episodes as I work on them, so I have no idea if they’ll be more specific about it in the final episode or not.
From what we’ve seen so far, the only conclusion I can draw is sexual abuse, because it’s had an effect on how Takeru views intimacy and deals with relationships in his adult life. If it was just physical abuse, he wouldn’t be as scared of women as he is now. This is only what I’ve gathered from the situation with Eri and the one flashback we saw at the amusement park.
As I said to Caly, I don’t know whether they chose not to explore it further due to the implications of incest, or because it would be sexual abuse to a minor. I suspect the latter since incest is a recurring theme in other forms of Japanese media, and doesn’t seem as much of a taboo subject.
